![]() ![]() ![]() All these operations worked just fine for me before upgrading to 1.3, but now they don't. I have to do the following when creating text objects in order to get it to work: Object to Path, Break Apart, Select each letter and anything associated with the letter (like the H in hello), and Union. When I try to apply this to text objects by turning the object into a path, say a word like Hello, and then ungroup the letters to further manipulate them into a format I want, that does not work. I could use Offset, but then I lose the sharpness on the points of the object if I want to keep that, which I do in this case. Combine gives me an interesting border between he object and the path, which could be useful in certain applications, but not what I'm looking for. It's only when I apply a stroke to the objects and also turn that stroke into a path, that I encounter the issue where difference, intersection, break apart doesn't work. If I don't apply a stroke, just testing with two objects, I have no issue. Can someone please offer some guidance on what I need to do to fix this, or should I just go back to 1.2? Thank you in advance for any and all assistance. ![]() And, for clarity, I have totally uniinstalled 1.3 and re-installed it twice, making sure there were no remnants of the install on my computer before I re-installed it. I am seriously going to go back to 1.2 because of these issues unless I can get a clear understanding as to why this is happening. Now, when I try to use any of the difference, intersection, or any of the tools at all, they do not work. Now, when I take shape objects, and add a stroke to it, then put both to path, break apart, and union, it doesn't happen. Now, when I try to make text objects into a path, it doesn't work. In all this time, in all the different upgrades to Inkscape, I have been delighted with each and every update, until now. Hello! I have been using Inkscape now for 7 years, and started with. ![]()
